Job Description


About the role:

  • Complete assigned development tasks (including change requests) to technical specifications.
  • Understand and implement our standards for: Development practices, Agile processes, Source code management, Testing & Peer Review
  • Investigate and remediate assigned defect reports
  • Continually improving technical skills
  • Continually gaining technical experience
  • Continually expanding product knowledge.

Qualifications


What you need:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Understanding of object oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience (commercial or at University) with any mainstream programming languages: (JavaScript, Java Python, c# c++, PHP, Ruby)
  • Experience in the use of relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostGreSQL, MySQL)
  • An understanding and practical experience in testing code (unit testing)
  • Demonstrable skills through university results and project work
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia.

What would be nice

  • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks including Angular, React, Vue.js
  • Experience with server side development such as NodeJS, PHP, JSP, Classic ASP
  • Experience with API development such as REST, GraphQL
  • Experience working with JavaScript Frameworks including Angular, React, Vue.js pt libraries including Lodash and RxJS
  • Experience working with JavaScript build tools including Webpack, Gulp and Browserfy
  • Practical experience with XML or JSON
  • Theoretical or practical experience with XSLT
  • Practical experience using an Agile Development Methodology.
